Why don't my podcast's full episode notes appear in Apple Podcasts?
Transistor Team
This article will show you how to see your podcast's full episode notes in Apple Podcasts. (Spoiler: you have to subscribe to the podcast, or download the episode to your device first).
A question we get a lot at Transistor is:
The problem is, as a default, Apple Podcasts only shows the short episode summary.
Follow these steps to see the full episode notes in Apple Podcasts:
Open up the Podcasts app on your iPhone.
Search for your podcast.
Click "Subscribe."
Click play on an episode.
Click the bottom "now playing" tab to open up the episode view.
Scroll down to see the full show notes.
If you don't want to subscribe to the podcast, follow these steps:
Open up the Podcasts app on your iPhone.
Search for your podcast.
In the episode list, click the "+" icon.
When the "+" icon turns into a cloud, click that icon to download the episode.
Click play on the downloaded episode.
Click the bottom "now playing" tab to open up the episode view.
Scroll down to see the full show notes.
It's odd that Apple doesn't show full episode notes as a default. (Other podcast apps, like Overcast, do).
James Cridland goes into more detail on how different apps display episodes notes in this Podnews piece.
