Pre-fill your podcast show notes with templates

Most podcasters have a consistent format for their episode show notes; whether it's links to social media, calls to action, or recurring segments. But copying that format from your last episode every single time gets tedious fast.

Now you can create a template that automatically fills in your show notes text whenever you create a new episode.

How it works

Setting up your template takes just a minute:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Show Notes in your Transistor dashboard

  2. Add your template – Include any recurring text, links, or formatting you use in every episode

  3. Create new episodes – Your template automatically appears in the show notes field, ready for you to fill in episode-specific details

Go to your Show Settings, and then click on

What to include in your template

Your template can include anything you typically add to every episode:

  • Episode summary placeholder

  • Social media links and calls to action

  • Standard segments or chapters

  • Contact information

  • Sponsor messages

  • Links to your website or newsletter

Dynamic variables like your YouTube video URL will still pull in automatically when you add them.

A simple time-saver

This is a straightforward feature that solves a common pain point. No more hunting through old episodes to copy your format, no more accidentally forgetting to include important links. Just open a new episode and start filling in the details that matter.

Show notes templates are live now for all Transistor users. Head to Settings → Show Notes to set yours up, or start your free trial today.
