New Patreon integration for podcasters

One of the best ways we've found to earn income from your podcast (even better than ads) is to have listeners support your show through Patreon.

At Transistor, we've added a new Patreon integration to make acquiring and showcasing your Patreon supporters easier.

Once you've connected your Patreon account to your podcast on Transistor, we'll display your patrons and campaign information in your episode show notes and on your Transistor website.

Here's an example:

You can also have a list of your Patreon supporters automatically displayed in your show notes:

There are multiple options for displaying Patreon supporters in your show notes:

  • Show new supporters added since your last episode

  • List all supporters

The most effective way for podcasters to monetize with Patreon

This feature aligns with a best practice we see from podcasters monetizing using Patreon: the simplest reward you can offer is to give listeners a "shout out" at the end of every episode and to list them in your show notes.

When listeners get a special mention from a podcast's hosts, it makes them feel like they're a part of the show.

Many super-fans are happy to pay $10-$20/month, or $100+ per year, to support their favorite shows in this way.
